Dariusz Żejmo – born in 1966 in Kożuchów, painter, illustrator, graphic artist and designer. A graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts / specialization – painting / at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.
The artist has dozens of paintings – mainly oil, but also pastel, and hundreds of photo-graphics. He is the author of illustrations and covers for several dozen books, designer of publishing graphics, covers and illustrations of children’s magazines, for which he was honored twice – in 2000 and 2001 – by the Children’s Foundation – the DONGA Award.
Although the artist’s work has a multifaceted dimension, he is fascinated by the painting and climates of southern Europe, especially Italy, which he likes to transfer to canvas, saying that he is a Mediterranean painter.
The artist’s work enjoys great recognition and applause not only in Poland. His works are in foreign collections, including “The Narrow Space” – Clonmel, Ireland, “SHOW GALLERY” – Cork, Ireland, “FRAME GALLERY” – Limerick, Ireland. He is a member of VISUAL ARTISTS IRELAND.
